I am writing a book titled Driving Projects with
Examples: a Handbook for Agile
Teams. I'm putting up chapter drafts
here, hoping for comments.
Note: this book has been bumped back in my queue. I'm going
to finish one called Scripting for Testers Using Ruby
first.
In this book, I'm going to document a particular style of
software development. In it, teams collaborate to drive
development with a series of self-checking examples (sometimes
called "customer tests" or "storytests"). Programmers, working
in a tight iterative loop, make the
product match the examples.
An important part of the book will be case studies, stories,
and tricks of the trade that I'll gather from projects practicing this
style. If you have something to offer, please
contact me!
If you'd like to comment on the book, please join the
mailing
list. If you already have a yahoogroups account, the
easiest way is probably to click on the link in the previous sentence. If
you do not, send mail to
example-book-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. You can put
anything you like in the subject line and body.
To learn of new chapters, you can do one of two things. You can
join the mailing list above. Or you can subscribe via RSS to
my
blog. I have an RSS feed for the
whole blog or one for
just
this
book.
